Ask about material classification, residential or business status, quantity limits, minimum charges, separate item fees, payment and required documents. Keep written answers or the current official schedule.

Retain the weigh-in and weigh-out ticket, material classification and final receipt. Compare the net weight and billed rate with the schedule. Ask the operator to explain any surcharge before assuming that the per-tonne amount was the entire price.
